Your best friend deserves a dog bed
Dogs are social animals and they require a lot of the same things people do. Dogs need love, companionship, nutrition, playtime with toys to keep their mind sharp, and even alone time in their own private spot. This spot may be a crate, a doghouse, or a quiet corner of the garage, as long as it is theirs. You can make their special spot even more special by including a dog bed.
Your dog will feel more comfortable in a soft space all their own. Some breeds such as German Shepherds have a genetic history of arthritis, and a soft pad can be a welcome relief to those sore hips at the end of the day. It can also be a good consolation to a pooch who has recently been made aware that they are not welcome on the couch, or your bed.
Perhaps you own a toy breed and pamper them as you would a child. They make beds for just such a dog. There are beds with canopies, gold bedposts, and even antique-looking hardwood beds. They are plush with soft multicolored fabric, that is usually plaid, but you can find them in any color to compliment your livingroom set. These days, the dog-house does not seem like such a bad place.
