Keep your dog safe with a proper dog carrier

These days, when most anyone goes for a ride, they make sure to buckle their seatbelts before embarking on a trip. And there’s no reason we shouldn’t be just as responsible with our pets. After all, they’re members of our families too!

That’s why it’s important to make sure your pup is securely placed in his or her dog carrier before you set off in the car with her or him. It’s so easy and tempting to have your pooch ride shotgun, and the thought of a puppy’s fur whipping through the breeze of an open window is a delightful one, but just think of the repercussions in the case of an accident.

When shopping for your carrier, make sure you get the right size for your dog. Large dogs will often need to be placed in crates rather than carriers, and properly secured in your vehicle. If you’re unsure about how to secure a crate or carrier, check the instructions that come with the carrier or check with the retailer, as carriers vary.

Getting one for your pup is a responsible way to keep your doggie just as safe as you and your family like to be!
