Pat your pet
Animals need a lot of love and attention. Physical attention is very important to your pet. Cuddling and caressing will help your animal's attitude and quite probably help it live a longer, happier life.
Of course, I am speaking to owners of domesticated animals. Obviously, you would not want to cuddle a spider or emperor scorpion, however, some reptiles enjoy being stroked, especially when they are molting. Be very cautious though, because other reptiles can be quite cranky at molting time.
No matter what manner of animal you own, it is crucial that you read all of the information you can about the animal's disposition and how to care for the specific breed, if applicable, there are books available for the care of most every animal that you could possibly purchase, legally. Remember to always show your animal the love it needs.
