Why dogs are the best pets
Of all pets available today, dogs are by far the most rewarding pet to own. A dog will appreciate everything you do for them and every minute you spend with them.
Dogs are playful and crave companionship. An entire industry has grown from our four legged friends playing needs. Sure, there are toys for birds and various rodents, but they are just for the animal, where most dog toys encourage interaction between pet and master. While watching a hamster run in a wheel will not wear you out, playing tug-of-war with your dog is good exercise and you get outdoors.
A dog also has more personality than most animals. Maybe not as much as a cat, but I believe a dog, personally is more agreeable. This makes it easier to care for your dog. Let's face it, you can justify spending the money on better pet food and dog toys better than buying designer gerbil nuggets and a more expensive wheel that looks like a car, because your best friend is always ready to play instead of sitting all day in an aquarium, hiding under the cedar shavings.
